Approved by the FDA 501(k), clinical studies have shown the Portal Gravity System, which uses conventional MRI exams to scan patients in the recumbent position thus negates the effects of gravity on the spine. It places an axial load on the spine during routine imagining procedures. This simulates the upright position providing additional valuable information and may revewal occult pathology and shows the true severity of the problem.
